A special edition today—free for all subscribers—because I have an important update!
After 16 years at Food52, the company I co-founded and ran with Merrill Stubbs, it’s time to take my April Fool’s parodies, fussing over office lighting, cooking know-how, and love for homeware manufacturing to future ventures. I’m eager to build new things! This also means I’ll be stepping away from Schoolhouse and Dansk, which we acquired while I was running Food52.
As I figure out what’s next for me professionally, and continue to shape the next phase of my life—big stuff!—I’ll be seeking input and sharing updates on both. And, of course, I’ll be dispensing my usual array of design, travel, and food intel, alongside my home renovation progress.
For now, Homeward is my new home and it’s how I’m making a living—so I hope you’ll consider upgrading to paid, if you haven’t already (I lowered my annual subscription rate to celebrate my newfound freedom!). Either way, I really appreciate you being here and sharing my love for the pleasures of home.
